Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15, 1996, at Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian artist and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well reviewed by various music websites. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was recorded for an advertisement for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is the Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry's praise for the song Runaway on her blog gave the artist some additional appreciation. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering an instrument hidden in her attic, then becoming enthralled by the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to use music for personal growth, rather than as a way of earning a living or to pursue an interest. They advised her to compose. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with a love for Bjork's style. Her mother had told her the songs she wrote might not gain fame for her however, but to encourage people to see the value of themselves and their impact in this world, she began performing them publicly. The piano was her first instrument at age six and creating music when she was nine. It was not until she turned 14 when she shared her story with her parents. It was never a dream to become Aurora. She claims that she enjoys creating music. She claims that music is her most preferred way to feel anything.
